Nix Creation

I am a student at the University of Central Missouri, double majoring in Illustration and Graphic Design. My work is inspired by my experiences, and the stories of those around me. I use a plethora of mediums to experiment with texture and color, to see how I can combine tradition and technology. Growing as an artist is one of the most important aspects of my life. I am always looking to develop my skills and creative eye. Before switching my major to the arts, I studied pre-veterinary sciences, and creative writing. My time spent in those departments has brought me an interesting perspective; it allows me to approach my creative process with a scientific view, and an
emphasis on story telling. 

I graduate spring of  2025. I plan to pursue a masters in Illustration, further developing my skills, and exploring the themes I have found myself drawn to in my senior year. One day, I hope to teach Illustration myself, while working as an independent artist.
 
My passion has always been in the macabre, and in presenting stories through a dark lens. Currently, I have directed my focus to studying the concepts and intersections of womanhood, religion, and decay.
